Safely ride or bike riding is not just a convenient way of transport, it also helps you to stay fit and have an enjoyable experience. But bike accidents are not that uncommon. 1. Wear a helmet

You have to make sure you can be easily seen by other commuters. Wear bright colorful clothes that are easy to spot. Don’t wear dark clothes while riding at night.
3. Install lights
Having front and rear lights provide you with visibility at night. They also make the ride safer in the dark.
4. Avoid Obstacles
Try to avoid any kind of obstacles that would make it tough for you to go through safely ride. Look out for mud, puddles, sand, or loose gravel.
5. Don’t Wear Headphones
Wearing headphones while you are riding is a bad idea. You won’t be able to hear other vehicles for safely ride. You could get distracted and not pay attention to your surroundings. This is very dangerous and must be avoided. You should also avoid talking on the phone while riding.
6. Check Your bike’s condition before riding
There is a simple method of remembering which parts of the bike you need to check before you take it out on a ride. This is known as the ABC method, which refers to air pressure, brakes, and the chain.
7. Use a bell and make hand signals
If you see a pedestrian or a vehicle in front of you and use a bell to alert them of your presence. Make hand signals to communicate to the other drivers of which way you are heading.
8. Carry all your necessary things
If you are planning on going on a long ride carrying your cell phone and some cash would be a good idea. If you have a carrier or if you have a bag, you should carry a water bottle.
9. Ride in the same direction as the traffic
Never go against the traffic even if you are in a big hurry. Riding against the traffic raises your chances of getting into an accident.
10. Stay away from parked cars
Don’t ride near any parked cars and try to keep a good amount of distance from them. If you ride near one of them someone could open the car door from the inside and cause an accident.
11. Check the local weather forecast
Make sure you don’t go out on a bike ride on a stormy day. It might be extremely difficult to ride if there is heavy rain and the road might get slippery. So, always check the weather forecast before going out.
By taking some simple safety precautions you will be able to make sure that you reach your destination safely ride. Following the safety tips mentioned above should become second nature to you after you try them a few times.
